I’m not sure how I came across this blog but I have spent a while browsing the various posts and I must say I was very impressed. Having generally confined myself and my thoughts to the more competitive side of riding (despite not racing any more) I have generally ignored thinking about people who ride because they need to shift a few pounds, make that a lot of lbs. The idea of being too tired to ride a mile (read the blog and find out) is just anathema to me and to be honest, this level of commitment sort of makes you a little bit humble and if it doesn’t, it ought to.
Here I am thinking of ways to shift just under a stone so I can have more chance in the mountains of Wales (if I do the Etape Cymru next year) and then you put it into perspective against the massive amount this chap has shifted, seemingly for good.
Anyway, chapeau Gaz!
