Orbea 2012 Crosser

It seems pretty much like last year’s bike but it is so light it seems like it would get knocked about in a race. I’m sure I’m wrong but it is just the impression I get. Zipp wheels, carbon frame, Dura Ace groupset, a nice tidy package that I wouldn’t mind riding on the road. The crappy pictures are courtesy of my mobile but they give you an idea of how it looks. The price? If you need to ask, you can’t afford it! Try £4,500 or thereabouts!

I like the way Orbea really seem to think about cable routing. So many times, frames get trashed (visually) because of cable rub, it doesn’t matter how much the frames seem to cost, cable routing always seems to be secondary. Sticking gaffer tape, helicopter tape or little see through patches on really is a bit naff when you are spending £1,000 on a frame. A little thought and it could all be sorted. Hats off to Orbea!
