Fixie Conversion Kit

How to convert your bike to a fixie in one easy lesson. A good spot by Ross if an ever so slightly bonkers one. Why bonkers? I love riding fixed but on a mountain bike? IMO you need your head examined if you are going to do that.

Yeah, mtb fixie just sounds like a world of pain. Not just the legs too… That said putting a cog on the rotor mount of a front hub is inspired.

From a clever clogs pov you are right. Riding fixed isn’t that tough on the road as long as you remember not to stop pedalling, have the legs to get up hills etc etc but off road, it is when you get to stumps, drop offs etc that you begin to lose me. How do you do it? I think most people who try it will realise the folly of their ways and at least go back to SS with a freewheel – if they have got any sense!
