Campagnolo Electronic Groupset

OK so it seems to be prototype bits only but interesting nevertheless. Who will win the electronic shifting battle? I’d say Shimano will become dominant here if only because that is the sort of thing the Japanese seem to do best.

    I don’t entirely see the point of electronic shifting. I guess it’s exclusively for the number one road racers where the removing the rare possibility of a bad shift, or the speeding of shifts, could be the thing that defines a win. But will that be true with the added weight of the electronics and battery?

    For the pros….possibly, particularly in the sprints I’d have thought. For the rest of us… not a chance. They probably said that about 5 speed blocks once though. It’ll be bog standard spec one day.
