A quick play with the reporting facility on my Garmin threw up some interesting statistics which I’d better keep away from my wife!
An interent trawl suggested that the average, daily, calorie intake for a normal adult male is say 2,250 calories. On average I seem to be burning around 6,500 calories a week while riding. This equates to about 2.9 days worth of calories (food) extra each week. As my weight is more or less static this is a reasonable guide to the extra food I am eating just to play around on bikes!
An interesting fact to dwell upon while not much else is happening and that is about it, but worth sharing I thought.
